Saint Gianna Beretta Molla is a modern, Catholic saint, who was a wife, mother, and physician. Several sources indicate that she wrote a version of the adapted prayer below and that she had a devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. I have since adapted this prayer, as ‘part’ of what I learned, which I ‘associate’ with the Sacred Heart of Jesus, His Precious Blood, the Immaculate Heart of Mary, and the Gift of Tears. Prior to adapting the prayer, I noticed that it contained errors in it that were actually ‘obstructions’ for psychological and spiritual growth. The Prayer of Saint Gianna Beretta Molla, adapted, is one that could be said anytime; however, you may find that it can help you surrender to God’s will, in all matters, when you pray this prayer nightly, just before rest.

Prayer of Saint Gianna, adapted – English (United States)
Jesus, I promise You to surrender myself to all that You permit to befall me.
My most sweet Jesus, infinitely merciful God, most tender Father of souls,
and in a particular way of the most weak, most miserable, most infirm
which You carry with special tenderness between Your divine arms,
I come to You to ask You, through the love and merits of Your Sacred Heart,
the grace to accept and to do always Your holy will,
the grace to confide in You, the grace to rest securely through time
and eternity in Your loving divine arms. Amen.
