Requests for advice about your personal matters are professional business matters that require my general or clinical consultation, or spiritual direction and require an honest donation in gratitude to this website. Please note that I reserve the right to use any general question on The Messenger blog portion of my website.

To keep your questions private, within the limits of confidentiality, send a minimum payment of $45 to this website. Please note that this amount is same amount as a 15-minute phone consultation. You may receive a faster, more personalized response through the use of a phone consultation.

Please allow up to one week for a response for email questions.

I began this website out of devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, and I continue it out of sorrow for the wounds inflicted on the Sacred Heart of Jesus by ignorance of-and disdain for-the true Faith, and a personal promise that I made to God.

My motive is healing, and everything on this website and recommended readings have been made available to all, free of charge, so that others may learn from my writings and the writings of others who I have learned from, in the hope that integrity and real love might flourish.

I have incurred a lot of time and expenses associated with this public service. No one pays me for any of this. So, if you have learned anything from this website, and you would like to say ‘thank-you’ for what you have learned, you may do so by sending a donation in gratitude, even if it’s just a few dollars to help off-set my costs.

We often have to learn the hard way. Effective psychotherapy requires that psychotherapists often need to offer services in a way that may seem ‘counter’ to what clients expect or want from us, in order for them to learn and heal. Psychotherapy is hard work, but it is worth it.

There’s a part of me that wishes that the unconscious wasn’t such a maze and that I could more easily resolve all of the pain in the world. But that’s not my job and it misses the point.

Would you like permission to reproduce material from my website? Please understand that your desire in itself is a declaration that you have received benefit from my work. Therefore, it is fitting that you send a minimum donation of $40 before I will consider your request for permission.

Please note that academic tradition allows, short, properly cited quotes in academic papers to be used without seeking permission from the author or publisher.

As Saint Paul said, “A worker deserves his [her] pay.” (1 Tim 5:18). The amount of this royalty can be negotiated after I receive your initial donation.

Finally, please be sure that the information that you would like to reproduce is actually within my ability to authorize. If it is copyrighted information, you will need to contact the original author or publisher and adhere to their Permissions Policies. If you have questions about the policies of an author who I have specifically been authorized to quote verbatim or with adaptations and you want that information from me, I consider that a private matter as to what I negotiated with each author and publisher. However, I do understand that the process is sometimes difficult to understand and navigate with well-known authors who do not self-publish or who may be protective of who uses their writings even with permission and so, you may send me a Request for Advice for a minimum payment of $40 to review and respond to your request. Please include sufficient information detailing what author(s) you want to use their information, in what context, and what you would like to reproduce. If I have the information, I will advise you.

Please note that it is not necessary to send me a request for advice in a situation where I have simply referenced a source where you and others can find more information that has this common knowledge, statistic or language or perhaps is an example of a research study that provides potential evidence of what I claim in one of my articles. In this situation, you will need to determine on your own if you need permission from the author of publisher to use their content or if you need to make a request from me to use my content. If you are unsure, you will need to follow the standard Permissions Policy by assuming that the content belongs to me by submitting your request and minimum payment of $40 for me to review and respond to your request. I have already stated that I have paid for licenses and royalties for information that is copyrighted and reproduced with and without adaptions, which none of that content may be reproduced or distributed and which I have already properly cited on each page of my website.
